A couple of days ago I received the wonderful news that I was going to be in Puerto Rico for thanksgiving. After a semester full of success, and missing my family, I finally got to go back! I'm loving my stay here a lot. I get to eat Puertorican food! Just when I thought that I was not going to taste it again. Let me tell ya', is good! Better than I remembered. My stay here is going wonderful, I can feel the warm breeze in my cheeks again, and taste the salty air in my mouth. The beaches are exactly the same, and the people did not changed at all. This long time away from home, made me realize that I love been a Puertorican, and that I am more proud now of being one than ever. Goshen College lets me feel these things. It makes me feel proud of who I am. It opens my eyes to other cultures, and it makes me remembered that my culture is one of a kind. Im am writing from Puerto Rico, listening my neighbor sing Ednita, and watching the beautiful stars and moon in the sky. What better way to spend the night in my country?

Making peace with Fall break! Oh boy! After all the homework, after all the hard work and tests, what can you do to relax? SIMPLE,don't think about it. For example, Just do what your heart tells you. If you like to sleep, sleep! I know I'm good at that field. So if you are curious of what i'm going to do in Fall break? Its simple rest! Boy! Before fall break I stood up until 4am! studying for a Biology test. Oh yeah! You can say that I nailed that test! OH YEAH! But now its my time to rest, and to have strength to what's coming up next. Like, FINALS! But that will be in another Blog! But not everything in my fall break will be resting. I have a radio show on the globe! So I'll be preparing for that too! I am so exited about it. Only in Goshen College you get that kind of experience in your first year of college! And Im only 17! Can you imagine, how its gonna be in the future? Goshen its definitely the right place to be. So this is just a thought of what Im going trough over the fall break. Im RESTING, AND GOING LIVE THIS SUNDAY AT 9PM!

This is what Im making peace with over fall break!

It has been a great journey coming from the Island to the states. At first, Im not gonna lie I felt really scared and emotionally drained. I was thinking: "Im I good enough to be away from home at 17?!" This is sure a bad thought, but I managed to put myself together and actually accomplished my aspirations. From the minute I saw Goshen, I was really sure this was the school for me. I come from a really small school, and Goshen is like my high school (Except a little bigger). At first I was kinda overwhelmed of all the things I had to do. Convocations, Chapels, Social life, Majors, etc. But that's the thing about Goshen! The faculty truly helps you get trough those insecurities and helps you managed your strengths.Im not saying that is easy, Im just saying that they make you feel like it. Which is great! So, between the cold and my many insecurities I have managed to put it all together! And boy it is going great! I have A's and fabulous friends. Im involved in so many different stuff, like Choir, Plays, Radio station, Student senate etc. Goshen has open many doors for me, and I know its only getting better!
